In a recent interview with Rock The Bells, 2 Chainz revealed that his long-awaited new joint album with Lil Wayne, “ColleGrove 2,” will be released sometime in November. This is a sequel to their 2016 joint project.
“Me and Wayne’s album drops next month. This is a full circle moment,” said 2 Chainz. “It was built on a relationship. Wayne at the time, was the hottest artist in the world. He could’ve charged me eight million, but he didn’t.”
Meanwhile, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne have announced the first single off of ColleGrove 2. This is “Presha,” as it’s set to be released on October 20. Moreover, Wayne previewed some of this record on his Discord server, as he captioned the video “Pressure coming 10/20.”
At the time of 2 Chainz and Wayne’s first CollegGrove project, it was a success. It debuted at number four in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. It was led by hits such as “Gotta Lotta.”
CollegGrove 2 comes as Wayne dropped his new “Tha Fix Before Tha VI” album, last month. That was a 10-track project to prepare Wayne fans for his forthcoming “Tha Carter VI” album.
