This weekend, it was initially reported by TMZ that 2 Chainz was planning to open his two Atlanta restaurants, Escobar Lounge and Restaurant and Tapa. He later came out saying that this will actually not happen. This was all after Georgia Governor, Brian Kemp, said a week ago that places such as barbershops, salons, nail shops, and bowling alleys are allowed to reopen on April 24 and restaurants and theaters were allowed to resume dine-in service on April 27.

Today, 2 Chainz decided to give back to the community as he helped feed the homeless in front of his Escobar restaurant. TMZ reported that 120 people were fed. His business partner, Mychel “Snoop” Dillard also helped pass these meals out. Dillard is also known for appearing on ‘Love and Hip-Hop New York.’ Dillard drove around the area to pass the food as well.

Butter garlic chicken pasta and water were the items passed out as social distancing measures were also implemented as the 6-feet rule was enforced. Takeout orders are still available at Escobar and Tapas. It’ll be interesting to see if they do decided to allow dine-in service in May as things change by the day in the country. Nearby states such as Texas, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee are also slowly starting to reopen their economies.
