For many years now, fans have been wanting a sequel to 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s 2016 “ColleGrove” album. However this project has experience various days, with no official release date in site.
Meanwhile, 2 Chainz has just given fans an official update with good news, regarding ColleGrove 2. He told RockTheBells that the album will be released in November. Morreover, he said “Me and Wayne’s album drops next month. This is a full circle moment.”
“It was built on a relationship,” 2 Chainz continued, regarding Wayne. “Wayne at the time, was the hottest artist in the world. He could’ve charged me eight million, but he didn’t.”
In 2016, ColleGrove contained 13 songs in total. It was led by the hit single “Gotta Lotta,” as well as 2 Chainz’s “Watch Out.” As a result, the album went on to debut at number four in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart.
Meanwhile, this updates comes after Lil Wayne released his new “Tha Fix Before Tha VI” album, in September. 11 songs were released, including lead singles such as “Kan’t Nobody” featuring the late DMX, and “Kat Food.” This project is a teaser to Wayne’s upcoming highly anticipated “Tha Carter VI” album.
