Catching the attention of the rap world, last year, 2 Chainz went over and beyond most expectations. Dropping anthems among anthems, 2 Chainz easily won over the streets with his music. The hard work of 2 Chainz landed him a partnership with his former label, Def Jam.
Based on a T.R.U. Story was the first project slated to be released from this partnership. With a year to prepare, 2 Chainz continued to raise his profile, becoming one of the hottest rappers in the game in the process. His statement on DJ Drama’s “My Moment” says it all “I made more than I ever made with DTP this year.”
Though he appreciates Ludacris’ advice and support, 2 Chainz is his own man and even The Source’s “Man of the Year.” At a recent event, 2 Chainz spoke on his debut album and the Atlanta support. The video was eventually captured by Vlad TV and released to the internet.
