If a person does not know 2 Chainz is currently working on his new album, B.O.A.T.S. II, they are not a hip hop fan. 2 Chainz started early this summer and he teamed up with the legendary Pharrell for his “Feds Watching” single. The track has become a summer anthem.
But, the song has been out since May and 2 Chainz needs something else to keep people interested in his new album. During the Def Jam conference call, 2 Chainz announced his next single, “Where You Been.” The record features his artist, Cap1, and 2 Chainz said it was produced by Mike WiLL Made It.
2 Chainz informed the listeners of the call that “Where You Been” features Cap1 because he has been right beside him this entire journey. While he was out in Paris, 2 Chainz recorded this record. He said it is the first part of his upcoming dynasty, launching Cap1 and helping turn his movement into the next Maybach Music, G.O.O.D. Music, etc.
