200 of Virgil Abloh’s Nike x Louis Vuitton collab sneakers, to hit auction block, next week

It’s been almost two months now, since the world lost the great fashion designer, Virgil Abloh. Abloh had been battling a rare form of cancer, and did so privately.

At the time, Abloh was the creative director at Louis Vuitton, and has his own Off-White Fashion label. He would also collaborate on various Nike sneakers.

Now, 200 pairs of Abloh’s LV & Nike Air Force 1 collaboration sneakers are up for auction. These were originally created for the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2022 collection. Sizes 5-18 will be available, as prices are expected to be sold between $5,000-$15,000. The bids can be made on SoTheBys.

In addition to the sneakers, buyers will receive an orange Taurillon Monogram leather Louis Vuitton pilot case. Bidding will begin in January 26, and conclude on February 9.

Proceeds will benefit Abloh’s Post-Modern Scholarship Fund. This was created in order to get inclusion within the fashion industry. It also provided scholarships to Black students.
