2022 GRAMMYs’ new date will reportedly be in April, and be in Las Vegas

Last week, it was unfortunately revealed that the 2022 GRAMMYs would not move forward with their January 31 date. This is due to more COVID-19 concerns, as last year’s GRAMMYs were also postponed by a month and a half.

Now, it appears that a new date is almost finalized. According to Chart Data, the 2022 GRAMMYs will be held on either April 9 or 10, in Las Vegas. This comes after original reports that the awards show could be held in either May or June.

Jon Batiste leads the way with the most 2022 Grammy nominations, with 11 total. Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and H.E.R. are all tied for second most, with eight each.

Hopefully, this new April 9th or 10th date, will actually happen, and there are no more postponements. The GRAMMYs should definitely explore other COVID alternatives, such as requiring proof of vaccination, to enter the ceremony.
