Yesterday, 21 Savage and Metro Boomin finally released their highly anticipated ‘Savage Mode 2’ project which serves aa the sequel to the 2016 EP. This project contained 15 tracks with features from Young Nudy, Young Thug, and Drake.
Savage Mode 2 also featured narrations from the legendary Morgan Freeman. Many also thought that 21 was dissing Tekashi 6ix9ine on the “Snitches & Rats” song along with Freeman doing the same on the Snitches & Rats interlude. 21 clarified and said that this is not strictly about 6ix9ine as he’s not the “only rat in America.” There was also buzz surrounding Drake’s feature on “Mr. Right Now” as he claimed that he dated SZA in 2008. She has since unfollowed him on Instagram as a result of this.
Savage Mode 2 met the hype as the projections for the first week numbers are in. According to Chart Data, it’s expected to sell between 170,000-195,000 in its first week. These huge numbers come as no surprise as fans anxiously awaited its release and even started a petition asking the rapper and producer to release this project.
