We’ve seen a lot more old school rappers disapprove of the new generation of rappers in regards to lack of bars and solid flows in general. The most recent one involved Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Layzie Bone calling out Quality Control Music CEO Pee for comparing their flow to Takeoff. Offset also wanted to do a “bankroll challenge” but Layzie Bone said this is about skills.
21 Savage is now weighing in on the generational debate. He says that the old head rappers are just clout chasing and they’re just trying to get hot again off of them. He added that they’re just trying to pick battles with the new rappers and that they really don’t want any smoke. This debate will go on forever and it will be hard for the new era of artists to compete with the likes of the 90s but nonetheless, there is still a lot of solid talent out now.
