21 Savage scores fourth number one album with “American Dream”

A week ago, 21 Savage released his long-awaited third studio album, “American Dream.” 15 new songs were released, including major collaborations with Summer Walker, Travis Scott, and more. Moreover, American Dream was also 21’s first solo studio album, since 2018’s Billboard 200 chart-topping “I Am > I Was.

Meanwhile, American Dream just had a major opening week. According to Hits Daily Double, it is debuting at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. This comes after selling 130,000 units in its first week. Second place is occupied by Kalu Uchis’ new “ORQUÍDEAS album, with 57,000 units.

21’s last album came back in late 2020, which was a joint album with Metro Boomin, “Savage Mode 2.” This served as a sequel to 21’s breakout EP, which was released in the summer of 2016.

In addition to the American Dream album, it is also serving as a soundtrack to 21’s upcoming film, “American Dream: The 21 Savage Story.” This is set to be released on July 4. 21 appears in this film, as well as additional stars, such as Donald Glover, Jabari Banks, Gail Bean, and much more.
