22-Year-Old Texas A&M University Student, Bharti Shahani, Passes Away, Due to Astroworld Festival Injuries

It’s been almost a week, since Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival. Eight people died, while hundreds of others sustained injuries. Now, the death toll has unfortunately risen.
According to Rolling Stone, 22-year-old Bharti Shahani, has passed away. This is after suffering brain damage, and ultimately being placed on life support. She was also a senior at Texas A&M University.
At the time, Shahani was being treated at Houston Methodist Hospital. At the festival, she was with her sister, Namrata Shahani, and their cousin, Mohit Bellani. The three became separated, once the crowd started to get out of control. Namrata and Bellani lost their cell phones, and Spielberg see Shahani, until she was hospitalized.
“Once one person fell, people started toppling like dominos. It was like a sinkhole. People were falling on top of each other,” said Bellani to ABC13, in Houston. “There were like layers of bodies on the ground, like two people thick. We were fighting to come up to the top and breathe to stay alive.”
Shahani also suffered multiple heart attacks, when hospitalized. She also lost oxygen for 10 minutes, and then, another seven minutes.
