Over the past decade, 50 Cent has established himself as one of the biggest television moguls. He’s executive produced hit series such as “Power” and its various spin-offs, as well as the new “BMF” series, which is currently in its second season. 50 also signed a non-exclusive broadcast direct deal with Fox.

In the past week, 50 has also been teasing a new series, titled “Vice City.” As a result, many assumed that it would be based on the classic “Grand Theft Auto” video game. However, more information is now surfacing, regarding this series.

According to Deadline, 50 is partnering with Paramount+ to create this Vice City series. This is being launched by Lionsgate Television, Paramount Television Studios, and 50’s G-Unit Film & Television. Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters will serve as executive producer and director. G-Unit, Alex Young and Jason Spitz for 87 Eleven also serve in the executive production role.

The plot of Vice City details three friends who are former soldiers who return to their hometown of Miami. This takes place in the mid-80s, as they were honorably discharged from the military. This was as a result of their involvement in the Iran Contra scandal. Therefore, the crew soon partners with a Colombian immigrant to form a heist crew.
