What made 50 Cent popular was his willingness to go against anyone, whether or not they were popular. Against Ja Rule, 50 Cent won because he had the underdog thing going for him. Then, his popularity sustained after he picked fights with Shyne, Fat Joe, and Jadakiss.
Later, he also added Diddy, even Birdman and Lil Wayne, to his growing list of enemies. Although, Lil Wayne never took the bait, nor did Kanye West or T.I. However, a decade of antics like that got 50 Cent labeled as a bully.
By 2014, 50 Cent was even going at his own son, Marquise Jackson, as their relationship declined as his son reached adulthood. Since that time, the two have traded shots on social media. Recently, a G-Unit fanpage posted a photo of a younger 50 Cent with his then-child son, and 50 hit them in the comments and asked them to remove the pic.
