50 Cent interested in bid to buy BET with Shaq and Kenya Barris

It was previously reportedly that Diddy and Tyler Perry were each interested in joining the bid to become the new owner at BET. However, there the list of bidders is beginning to grow, especially from other fellow celebrities.

According to TMZ, 50 Cent, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenya Barris are all teaming up to possibly purchase BET. Furthermore, 50 and Kenya were reportedly spotted at the Paramount offices in NYC earlier this week, to speak about the possibility of purchasing the network.

As a result, 50, Kenya and Shaq are said to be ready to put an offer in, and also have investment help from CVC. Regarding the current station of this bid, one source told TMZ “It’s not a done deal, but they’re deep in it.” 50 also confirmed his interest in purchasing BET, in an Instagram post, on Saturday.

Meanwhile, this news also comes as 50 Cent announced his “The Final Lap” World Tour, a few days ago. This is to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of his chart-topping debut studio album, “Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.” The first stop of the tour will kick off on July 21 in Salt Lake City, UT, and conclude on November 12, in Birmingham, UK.
