50 Cent’s breakout “In Da Club” single goes diamond
20 years ago, 50 Cent soared into superstardom, and would go on to be one of the most iconic rappers and businessmen in the industry of all-time. That came in the aftermath of his 2003 debut studio album, “Get Rich Or Die Tryin‘.” Furthermore, that project contained the breakout hit, “In Da Club.” That record topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and the album also did the same on the Billboard 200.
Meanwhile, In Da Club has just reached another major milestone. It has now been certified diamond in the US, by the RIAA. This comes after selling over 11 million units in the US, according to Chart Data. Moreover, over 1.9 billion views for the video of In Da Club have been amassed on YouTube, to this date.
Furthermore, 50 Cent’s In Da Club going diamond also comes as 50 ventured on his The Final Lap World Tour, this year. This tour was to celebrate 20 years of his Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ album. 50 initially announced this tour in May, as Busta Rhymes and Jeremih also went on to become special guest performers.
