8-year-old girl awarded $800K after being burned by McNugget

One little girl in Florida had her life change, twice. First, she went to McDonalds, and had the misfortune of a chicken McNugget burning her. As a result, her family filed a lawsuit. Fortunately, the state of Florida ruled in her favor. With that being said, the little girl has been awarded $800,000. While nothing will change the scar on her arm, $800,000 is a nice nest egg.

Many people have been victims of freak accidents, over the years. In national news, the most glaring one was the Kobe Bryant tragedy. As he was entering the fourth year of his retirement, Kobe was making inroads in the world of business. In addition, he was coaching his daughter’s basketball team. Sadly, their love for the game was the cause of their demise. With this Florida girl, thankfully she’s still alive.

After a little girl suffered burns, due to a McDonalds chicken McNugget, her family took legal action. The case took place in the state of Florida. While Florida is often the home of controversy, the state actually worked in the child’s best interest. After going to court, the jury awarded $800,000 to the girl. As bad as the burn was, the money this child will receive should help her start her adult life ahead of the game.
