One thing hip hop heads sorely miss, on streaming services, is music from Aaliyah. There have been many complaints about her music not being available. But, there has been a lot of back and forth, with her estate, and her label, regarding her music being released to streaming.
Barry Hankerson, Aaliyah’s uncle, and the CEO of her label, Blackground Entertainment, finally has released her music. A few weeks from now, Aaliyah albums will be available for streaming, via Spotify. Despite their being some friction with her estate, it’s happening.
Aaliyah is considered one of the greatest recording artists of all-time. Because her music is unavailable, on streaming services, many fans have been disappointed. Now, her music is going to soon be hitting Spotify, and a billboard has now been placed, in Times Square, in promotion of her music being available.
