Ab-Soul says “Herbert” is top five album of 2022
A few weeks ago, Top Dawg Entertainment’s Ab-Soul finally released his first album since 2016. This was with “Herbert,” as 18 new songs were available. Ab also collaborated with Big Sean, Jhené Aiko, Zacari, and more.
Ab also has high praise for the work that he put in on Herbert. He recently took to Twitter to proclaim that this project is a top five album of 2022.
“ALSO,” Ab claimed on Twitter. “My album IS top 5 of da year. Fucc all dat humble sh*t. Dead homies. #TDE”
Many fans of Ab soon replied to him, to agree with this confident statement. He received respect for the lyricism displayed on Herbert, as well as him not missing a step, since his last album release in 2016, which was “Do What Thou Wilt.”
2022 has been a major year overall, for TDE. Kendrick Lamar released his final album for the label in May, which was “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.” That easily debuted at number one in the US, and had one of the biggest first week sales for an album, this year. Doechii also released her “she/her/black b*tch” EP in August, which contained the buzzing “Persuasive” remix featuring SZA. This month, SZA also released her first album since 2017, “SOS.” That also became her first number one album, as it’s currently in its third straight week at the top.
