Hip hop has returned to it’s truer form on a mainstream level with the crews returning to prominence. Black Hippy received a lot of praise because of their lyrical and competitive nature. However, since Kendrick Lamar blew up, there has been more tension than normal in the group.

Often, Black Hippy is referred to as Kendrick Lamar and Black Hippy. Countless times, ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul have said they are better rappers than Mr. good kid, m.A.A.d. city. But, Ab-Soul threatened to leave the group if they couldn’t all be viewed as equals.

Bootleg Kev recently spoke to Ab-Soul and they spoke a little on this during their time together. They also spoke about their favorite albums and many other topics that circulate the music industry. A few days ago, Ab-Soul tweeted about having two projects done already that are due later this year.
