Three years ago, Ace Hood was on top of the rap world with “Bugatti,” his breakout single with Future. The song was one of the biggest summer anthems of 2013. When speaking on the success of the record, Birdman said Ace Hood was a big reason why he wanted We The Best.
However, just a year later, DJ Khaled revealed he moved We The Best from Cash Money Records. This came during the middle of Lil Wayne calling Birdman and Cash Money out. Now, DJ Khaled is going through something similar with Ace Hood, being Birdman to his Lil Wayne.
Towards the end of his interview with “The Breakfast Club,” DJ Khaled was asked by Charlamagne about Ace Hood. Hesitant to respond, Khaled did plug Starvation 5, telling them he is still signed to We The Best, just now doing his own thing and that he supports him and if Ace needs him, he is there. Ace Hood caught wind of this and took to Twitter to call him out.
