Ace Hood explains his split from DJ Khaled, new music, and more on #TheBreakfastClub [VIDEO]

In 2007, DJ Khaled broke through and became a household name. By the time the year was over, DJ Khaled was hired by Def Jam to be the head of their Southern division. Along with that, he was given his vanity label, We The Best Music Group.

Ace Hood was signed to We The Best. He was the flagship artist on the new label. While he had two hit singles and two albums, along with features from Trey Songz, among others, Ace Hood did not break through. But, things changed when he delivered “Hustle Hard.”

In 2013, Ace Hood scored a memorable summer anthem in “Bugatti,” featuring Future. Last year, it became clear Ace Hood and DJ Khaled were no longer as close as they were and Khaled addressed it on “The Breakfast Club.” After that, Ace would call him out. Now, he’s on “The Breakfast Club” to set the record straight and speak on his own music.
