Ace Hood talks new music, DJ Khaled, Def Jam departure, and YMCMB with “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

Introduced to the hip hop world during the summer of 2008, Ace Hood always had the potential to become a star. DJ Khaled took over the game in 2007 and was instrumental in making Rick Ross and Plies stars. When DJ Khaled launched his We the Best Music Group with the Def Jam label, Ace Hood was the first star signed.

Seeing what DJ Khaled did for Rick Ross, Plies, and Fat Joe, many could not wait to see what would come from Ace Hood. Instead, after five years, fans have witnessed flashes of what could be Ace Hood. Two years ago, Ace Hood experienced much success with “Hustle Hard” and the remix that featured Rick Ross and Lil Wayne.

Due to DJ Khaled moving We the Best to Cash Money Records, Ace Hood is no longer signed to Def Jam, but is YMCMB. One of his biggest fans has been Birdman, who has anticipated working with Ace Hood. Currently, Ace Hood is riding the success of “Need Your Love,” which features Trey Songz, and “Bugatti,” with Future and Rick Ross.

Power 105.1 talked to Ace Hood when he was in New York City and he talked about his new music, his next album, DJ Khaled, Def Jam, and much more.
