Ever since December, Lil Wayne has consistently blasted Birdman and his label, Cash Money Records. This is the label Lil Wayne has called home throughout his entire recording career. The deal was officially signed back in November 2008.
In the years since then, Lil Wayne became the highest-selling rapper in the game. Along with this, Lil Wayne launched his own label, Young Money, in conjunction with Cash Money Records. This, along with his album delay, is the root of his issues with Cash Money Records.
Due to all the hats Lil Wayne wears within Cash Money Records, he is owed a quarterly sum of $200,000, encompassing his Young Money interests and $1 million in expenses. But, the parent label never revealed how much profit Drake has generated from 2009 to the present off four albums. Along with not paying Lil Wayne the $10 million he is contractually obligated to receive for completing albums formed the suit.
