Adidas reportedly interested in resuming Yeezy partnership

Kanye West was once being celebrated as one of the wealthiest people of all-time. In 2021, the infamous report of Kanye being worth $6.6 billion surfaced. Almost immediately, Forbes came with a report that discredited this. However, Ye would discuss his net worth, saying it ranged from $7 billion to $10 billion. Much of his wealth was from his company, Yeezy’s, partnership with Adidas. In 2021, they generated $1.7 billion in revenue. However, Kanye was dropped from Adidas after an explosive interview. Now, reports say Adidas is having discussions about bringing West and Yeezy back.

Kanye West is one of the most creative artists in hip hop history. While he did his thing with music, Kanye wanted to also do clothing and design. As a result, he did some work with Reebok, via Jay-Z’s S. Carter brand. However, he also had designs going with Louis Vuitton and Nike. Eventually, Kanye launched his company, Yeezy. After the Nike partnership ended, Kanye West joined forces with Adidas. The deal made him a billionaire. After that, Yeezy had deals with Balenciaga and Gap.

Kanye West lost his billionaire status after Adidas ended the partnership. His comments on “Drink Champs” led to Adidas dropping Yeezy. As a result, Kanye ran into Skechers’ offices to try to force them into a deal. Meanwhile, there were reports of Adidas losing at least $1.3 billion a year without Yeezy. Now, there are reports of Adidas having talks about reuniting with Kanye and Yeezy.
