Already, Aja Brown has been making history, as the mayor of Compton, a historic city. Despite Compton being the birthplace of one of hip hop’s most-popular genres, no product of that environment had ran the city, before. This changed, in 2012, as Aja Brown won the city.
Aja Brown became the youngest mayor elected to serve Compton, as she was only 25-years-old, upon her election. As mayor, Brown helped to reduce gang violence. Seeing how she is a product of the youth, she managed to get rival gang members to sit down and talk to each other.
Elsewhere, in California, Stacey Dash, who stars in Dame Dash’s movie, Too Honorable, announced she’s running for Congress. Almost immediately, Aja Brown said she might run for the seat. This afternoon, she has released her first campaign video, for the seat presently held by Nanette Barragán.
