Another person who nobody can deny has definitely come up is DJ Akademiks. He started out in the forums of a lot of hip hop sites that are barely around, anymore. Then, he took his platform to social media, and amassed a huge following.
Some people, celebrities included, joke about Akademiks being broke and his living conditions. One thing is for sure, though, Complex is probably paying him nicely for “Everyday Struggle with Joe Budden. It was just last week when Joe Budden/Lil Yachty was the discussion.
However, Wale was the guest, this morning, and he let Akademiks know he wasn’t having it. One thing that made Akademiks popular is his personal commentary on various celebrities. But, Wale sparked an entire social media roast on Akademiks, when he started his rant off with “let me tell you about yourself,” before going in on him.
