Al Sharpton causes Twitter hysteria with “Empire” cameo and fans begin roasting his appearance on the show #Empire #EmpireSeason2

Lee Daniels said he was pulling out all the stops for “Empire” season two. He lived up to this when he got Al Sharpton to not only make a cameo, but to do it in the opening scenes. Everyone in the hip hop community already knows who he is and what he is about.

In the “Empire” storyline, Lucious (Terrence Howard) is in prison for murder. Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) threw a #FreeLucious concert in his honor and she pulled all the stops. Present at the concert was none other than Al Sharpton, who Cookie asked for help.

Unfortunately, Al Sharpton was unable to help Cookie. However, he did help entertain the fans on Twitter with his appearance. They loved how, not only is Al Sharpton there for real life black people, but how he is there for fictional black people, as well, leading to all kinds of comments on Twitter.
