Lil Nas X has been trending heavily on social media over these last few days. This is due to the music video for his “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” single’s music video. There, Nas X was seen twerking on Satan. Then, he revealed that he had 666 pairs of Nike Air Max 97 “Satan Shoes” coming today.

Nas X has seemed very nonchalant about attaching Satan to his name. He’s clapped back at numerous people and now, these shoes are oddly doing big numbers. They went on sale today at 9AM ET and all sold out in a minute.

The Satan Shoes retailed for $1,018. This has seemed very overpriced to the public but on the side of the shoe, Luke 10:18 is engraved on it. It is also said that human blood is the red that is seen on the soles of it.

Nike has since denied any involvement in the making of these shoes, though. They’ve since released a statement emphasizing this.

“We do not have a relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF,” Nike said. “Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.”

Nas X continues to receive tons of backlash but in the end, he continues to win big financially as a result. His debut studio album is also expected to be released sometime this year.
