Amar’e Stoudemire arrested after allegedly punching daughter

Amar’e Stoudemire is recognized by many, as one of the most talented power forwards in NBA history. Stoudemire played the majority of his career for the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks, as he was a 6x All-Star, and also made one All-NBA First Team.

However, Stoudemire is now in some concerning legal issues. According to TMZ, he was arrested on Sunday morning, in Miami, after allegedly slapping and punching one of his teenage daughters. Stoudemire was booked on one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of domestic violence.

Stoudemire allegedly landed a punch with a closed fist, and also proceeded to land a slap on his daughter. This reportedly had her bloodied. Stoudemire is also said to have done this repeatedly.

Police went on to state that Stoudemire committed these actions, due to disciplining the daughter. That action was taken, after she supposedly had an “attitude” towards her grandma, which is Stoudemire mother. As a result, the daughter called her mother, and police were called. The mother also picked up her and the other three children there. Stoudemire is also supposedly out of police custody.
