Andre 3000 performs at Atlanta Jazz Festival

On Memorial Day Monday, Andre 3000 delivered an impressive performance with his flute, in his hometown of Atlanta. This took place at the Atlanta Jazz Festival, inside Piedmont Park, on Andre’s 49th birthday.

As a result, Andre 3000 impressed thousands of fans in attendance. The Atlanta Jazz Festival is free to all who want to attend, as it was held from May 25-27. Therefore, over 200,000 went on to see Andre 3000, Lauren Henderson, Lizz Wright, and more.

Furthermore, Andre performed records from his flute album, “New Blue Sun,” which was released in early November. Eight songs were released in total, as fans also noticed how lengthy many of the song titles on the album were. As a result, New Blue Sun went on to see an impressive number 34 debut in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. The album also included multi-instrumentalist Carlos Niño, and featuring the playing of Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, Deantoni Parks, Diego Gaeta, Matthew David, V.C.R, Diego Gaeta, Jesse Peterson, and Mia Doi Todd.

Back in late January, Andre 3000 also kicked off his New Blue Sun Tour. The opening date was held on January 29, in Brooklyn. The tour lasted until early March, as the final show was held on March 9, with five straight shows in Los Angeles.
