Another woman who has always received love from the hip hop community is Angela Bassett. She has played in urban films, being often playing the role of the mother in films. Angela Bassett is also known for playing Tina Turner in What’s Love Got To Do With It.

In recent years, in the midst of the “cougar craze,” Angela Bassett has become a modern-day sex symbol. This is something she takes in stride and she owned it tonight. During tonight’s NAACP Image Awards, she was brought up to present an award.

Reuniting with Laurence Fishbourne, Angela Bassett was on stage to present an award, but she stole the show. Anyone with eyes has to admit Angela Bassett was on point and many of these people let it be known. Numerous tweets were sent out while Angela Bassett was on stage, talking about how good she looks and there was astonishment about her being 56 years old.
