In the 1970s, Angela Bofill rose to fame, becoming known for making ballads. A native of The Bronx, New York, Angela Bofill was soon known by the masses. Most consider her rendition of “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter” as the biggest song of her career.
Angela Bofill, in later years, recorded more songs and albums, to lesser fanfare. Soon, she would begin singing background for the likes of legends like Diana Ross, before losing her ability to sing. In 2012, she was featured on a TV One “Unsung” episode.
Since 2006, Angela Bofill has been paralyzed on her left side, following a stroke. A 2007 stroke left Bofill with slurred speech and limited her mobility. This morning, singer Rhonda Thomas revealed the saddening news of Angela Bofill’s death, at the age of just 66 years old.
