Forever synonymous with hip hop is the Simmons name. In the early 1980s, Run-DMC rose to fame. Run, eventually known as Rev Run, would bring in his younger brother, Russell Simmons, as the manager of the group. Only time would stand between the Simmons family and the top of the rap game, as Russell would soon launch Def Jam.
Over the years, the children of the Simmons family have gone their separate ways. Rev Run would team up with MTV for his “Run’s House” series. Immediately, the world was introduced to Angela Simmons, then the girlfriend of Bow Wow. Soon, Angela Simmons would build a name of her own, partnering with her sister for the Pastry shoe line.
Angela Simmons’ businesses are booming and Vlad TV caught up with her to speak about these upcoming opportunities. During their interview, Angela Simmons would also talk about her company being shouted out by Jay-Z.
