Angela Yee has become synonymous with New York radio over the past decade. In 2010, Angela Yee was known for her raunchy Sirius XM radio show. Back then, Angela Yee did a few controversial interviews. Included was the infamous Gucci Mane interview.

Angela Yee joined Power 105.1, where a few former Hot 97 personalities already worked. Already, DJ Clue and DJ Envy left Hot 97 for Power 105. While they had a name for themselves, Hot 97 remained a juggernaut. Power 105 paired Angela Yee with DJ Envy alongside Charlamagne Tha God.

Angela Yee, DJ Envy, and Charlamagne Tha God formed “The Breakfast Club.” Using the internet, “The Breakfast Club” slowly took over morning radio. In 2014, the show helped propel Power 105.1 to overtake Hot 97 as New York’s top radio show. Over the years, there have been rumors of beef between the hosts, or one of them leaving. Last night, Angela Yee said “The Breakfast Club” as we know it was ending. This morning, Angela Yee announced she was leaving, as iHeart has now given Yee her own show. With that being said, Angela Yee will have her new show, “Way Up With Angela Yee.” In the meantime, Yee will remain on “The Breakfast Club.”
