Last night, the New Orleans Pelicans did what everybody was expecting them to do. They put the Portland Trail Blazers out of their misery and swept them. Going into the playoffs, fans expected a much closer series, but that didn’t happen.
To close Portland out, Anthony Davis played well, scoring 47 points, backed up by Jrue Holiday’s 41 points. Then, Rajon Rondo ran the point, with 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 16 assists. That was too much for just Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum to overcome.
Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday, and Rajon Rondo talked to the press, after the game. The three spoke on how they went all in and shut down the Blazers. Their interview centered on the sweep and playing, either the Warriors, or the Spurs, in the second round, likely the Warriors.
