Anthony Edwards hits head during game winning block
Anthony Edwards gave Timberwolves fans a scare, when he got hurt early in the game. Last night, they were taking on the Indiana Pacers. This season, the Minnesota Timberwolves seem to have figured it out, and own the West’s top record. The previous two seasons saw the Wolves go through the play-in to make the playoffs. Both years, they lost in the first round. Now, Ant Man is prepping the Wolves for home court advantage through the West. To make it happen, he blocked a shot and hit his head to win a game.
Anthony Edwards confidently said he would become the best player of all-time. This season, he has played like the best player in the league. However, much of the attention still goes to the likes of LeBron and Steph. Much of this is due to the body of work they’ve laid out over the past decade. Their efforts have overshadowed the Denver Nuggets, who are the defending champions. Also, it’s overshadowed both the Timberwolves and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s OKC Thunder.
Anthony Edwards is out to prove that he and the Minnesota Timberwolves have now. The whole squad is confident they can win the NBA title. However, the consensus is that Jayson Tatum and the Celtics will finally win it, this year. Earlier this season, the Indiana Pacers showed flashes of greatness. They played well against the Timberwolves. Last night, they played a close game, but Anthony Edwards put it to bed with the block that sealed the win. He ended up hitting his head on the backboard in the process.
