Anthony Edwards injures his ankle five seconds into Timberwolves’ game vs. Pacers [VIDEO]

Anthony Edwards injures his ankle 5 seconds into Pacers game
Anthony Edwards is arguably the best player in the NBA. Through the bulk of the season, Ant Man has kept the Minnesota Timberwolves with the West’s best record. However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has put the Thunder right in the same conversation. Currently, the Wolves and Thunder are essentially tied for the top spot in the West. Tonight, Minnesota has an opportunity against Indiana to get a win. All of that changed, when Ant went down with his ankle injury.
Anthony Edwards was the number one overall pick in 2020. However, he was overshadowed by the eventual Rookie of the Year, LaMelo Ball. During that period of time, the Hornets appeared to have a more promising outlook than the Timberwolves. But 2022 saw the Timberwolves make some trades, which brought Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley to the team. Those moves didn’t appear too smart in 2022, but they now have the West’s top record.
Anthony Edwards argues that he should also be in the MVP conversation. This isn’t an absurd argument, neither is Jayson Tatum from the Celtics, or the aforementioned Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Tonight, playing the Indiana Pacers, Anthony Edwards ended up injuring his ankle. It was within seconds of the game starting. After that, Ant Man went down with another injury. Fortunately, neither of the injuries look to be serious.
