The urban music scene is still growing, here in North Carolina. During the 2001-2002 period, there was good growth, as Petey Pablo broke through, followed by Anthony Hamilton, a year later. Of course, later years would be kinder to Anthony Hamilton, who is still popular.
Last year, Anthony Hamilton was among the many celebrity guest appearances on “Empire.” He briefly sang, as Lucious (Terrence Howard) used him to propose to Anika (Grace Gealey). Since then, he has gotten back to recording music.
Anthony Hamilton stopped by Shade 45, talking to Sway about his recent moves. These moves include performing at the White House, something most artists dream of doing. He also discussed his work with Young Thug.
