Apple Music reaches 6.5 million subscribers in three months

A big deal was made when Jay Z revealed via Twitter that TIDAL reached 1 million subscribers. In fact, the concert taking place tonight is celebrating this accomplishment. Jay Z’s concert has performances from the likes of Beyonce, Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, and possibly Drake.

When Jay Z made inroads in launching TIDAL, Apple Music was soon launched. They used Dr. Dre as the face of their brand and got such names as Pharrell and Drake to represent their brand. Their radio shows feature all kinds of hosts.

Apple Music was billed as doing better than TIDAL, but soon their struggles were revealed. However, just as TIDAL has emerged triumphant, Apple Music has, too. Now, Apple Music has reached 6.5 million subscribers in the three months since it launched.
