Over the past five years, The Shade Room rose to become one of the top media outlets, period. Their format has led to anyone who wants to be taken seriously, as an outlet, pouring a lot of resources into having an Instagram page. With innovation comes backlash, however.
The Shade Room, and its success, gave rise to many similar IG blogs, which have helped create numerous stars. Among those stars, Cardi B, now has a strong dislike for The Shade Room. Several times, Cardi has demanded them to stop posting her.
Not too long ago, Ari, G Herbo’s ex, was on good terms with The Shade Room, often participating in stories about her on their page. But, their choice to resurface an old video of hers, made her turn on them. Their share of her hitting Gervonta Davis, in an old video, made Ari turn on them, accusing them of deleting her comments, and threatening to do them how Cardi B did.
