Ari Lennox to release new album in the summer
Ari Lennox is still viewed as one of the best R&B artists in the industry. It’s been a while since her last project though, which was her 2019 debut studio album, “Shea Butter Baby.” At that time, it saw a number 67 debut on the Billboard 200 chart, and was led by hit singles such as “BMO” and “Shea Butter Baby,” featuring J. Cole. 2019 was Ari’s breakout year, as she also become one of the biggest artists on J. Cole’s Dreamville record label.
Now, it looks like the Dreamville artist’s highly anticipated sophomore album will be arriving in 2022. This morning, a fan asked Ari if they could finally get a new album soon. This is after Ari posted the lyrics to “Blackberry Sap,” as this was on the Dreamville and DJ Drama “D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape” project a few weeks ago. She also appeared on the song “Coming Down.”
Ari confirmed that an album is on the way, as she is aiming for a summer release. She said “Yes! It’s giving summer.” Ari’s last official single was “Pressure,” which was released in September. That debuted at number 66, as fans approved of Ari’s latest record.
