Ari Lennox says she wants to be dropped from record labels, after wanting to be free, and awkward interview question about sex

Ari Lennox says she wants to be dropped from record labels

A few days ago, Ari Lennox was asked by “Podcast & Chill” host, Mac G, if she was being “f*cked good.” This is in reference to Lennox’s song lyrics. From that point, Lennox didn’t quite remember those lyrics, but was obviously shocked at the question.

This all involved Lennox’s “Pop” song, from 2019. It originally appeared on her highly successful debut studio album, “Shea Butter Baby.” That went on to be one of the most popular R&B albums of the year.

Since the awkward interview, Lennox has been getting a lot of backlash, on social media. This appears to be taking more of a toll on her now, as she took to social media on Sunday.

There, Lennox revealed that she would continue to “sing about d*ck,” but soon, claimed she wanted to be free, and dropped from the record labels she’s with. She is currently signed to Dreamville Records and Interscope Records.

“I will continue to sing about d*ck when I want! And you misogynistic peasants can continue to jerk off to my music thank you!!!! Good morning. I want to be dropped from the labels. I’m done and tired.”

Lennox also shockingly claimed that she has no hit records, and people can live without her music. Lennox also emphasized that critics on social media couldn’t handle being a signed artist.

“For Christ sakes. I realize I have no hits. I realize you all can live without hearing my music. I realize my complaining is so aggravating to y’all . I don’t ask blogs to post me when I’m at my worst. You judgmental self hating parasites wouldn’t last a day as a signed artist.”

At this point, it’ll be interesting to see if Lennox changes her feelings, overnight. Many are glad to see her on Dreamville Records, and working with J. Cole over the last five years. Fans have also since expressed their support for Lennox in general, regarding her critics.
