Ari Lennox says upcoming sophomore album is done

Ari Lennox says sophomore album is done

Fans have anxiously been waiting for Ari Lennox to finally release her sophomore album. It’s been over three years since she last released a project, which was her 2019 debut studio album, “Shea Butter Baby.” That contained Ari’s breakout hit single, “Shea Butter Baby,” featuring J. Cole.

Now, Ari has some good news, regarding an update about the upcoming album. She has just taken to Twitter to say that it is officially done. She also asked fans if they’re ready for this release.

In June, Ari initially said that she is a perfectionist, and that’s why there were delays for the album’s release. As of now though, there is no official public title or release date.

“Boyeeee it’s me,” Ari said at the time. I’m a baby perfectionist. She’s not ready yet . My sophomore baby is coming soon.”

That same month, Ari also revealed that she won’t be performing at concerts which require her to fly. She explained how that is due to her mental health and safety.

“I can not keep torturing myself with this huge fear of mine. It is literally destroying my health. Enough is enough. I’m so sorry to all that are inconvenienced by this. Don’t know what this will mean for my career, but I just can’t do it.”
