Arrest Warrant Issued For R. Kelly After Missing Sex Crimes Case In Minnesota

R. Kelly is still getting into trouble even while locked in jail. A Minnesota judge has issued a bench warrant for Kelly’s arrest after he failed to appear for a hearing at the Hennepin County Court this past Thursday. The crazy thing is… this wasn’t any of his fault.

R. Kelly is currently being held at the MCC Chicago prison facing federal sex crimes. So there was no way for him to appear at the hearing in Minnesota. In this separate case, he’s being charged with engaging in prostitution with someone under 18, and hiring/offering/agreeing to hire someone for sexual contact.

The Minnesota D.A.’s office stated that prosecutors are very aware that they cannot gain access to Kelly until his federal case is wrapped up. Still, the warrant procedure still had to take place.

R Kelly’s attorney, Steven Greenberg, responded to the warrant stating, “They never came to get him, wtf was he supposed to do, telepathically transport himself?”
