Fresh off her Verzuz battle, with Keyshia Cole, Ashanti finds herself back in the spotlight. There is renewed interest in her music and Ashanti is seizing the moment. It was nineteen years ago, when Ashanti first impacted the game.

Quite a bit has changed, since Ashanti dropped her self-titled debut album. Social media has taken over, with TikTok now being one of the hottest apps. Getting more involved in the culture, TikTok is celebrating Black History Month.

Ashanti, along with TikTok influencer, Jax James, are kicking off their Black History Month celebration. Both ladies will be going live from their accounts. This live will be an interview, where Ashanti will discuss her career, influences, state of R&B music, black history, and more.
