A lot of independent rappers sit on Facebook all day and complain about having a lack of support. Truth be told, they don’t know how to handle support, nine times out of ten, and they blow their chances. Usually, they do themselves in with stupid posts about established artists, but Da YoungFellaz took blunders to a new level.
Receiving a $130,000 investment from Manhattan-based company, StigmaSound, the trio blew the money on stupid expenses. Despite having worked with Talib Kweli and Snoop Dogg, Da YoungFellaz blew their first $25,000 on marijuana. This was not their only expense, as they took first class flights to places they had no work.
Spending thousands on marijuana and $14,000 to appear at SXSW 2013 in Austin, Texas, the group apologized to StigmaSound in court. Being sued for their blown money, the group, Da YoungFellaz, said they have gotten better with their habits. Admitting their faults, all they can do is pay up.
