Two nights ago, Atlanta elected its 61st mayor, in Andre Dickens. Dickens was able to comfortably defeat Felicia Moore, in this runoff election. For Moore though, there may have been one rumor that likely costed her the Mayoral job.
A Media Takeout article had been surfacing for a week, which stated that Moore wanted to close down Atlanta strip clubs. This soon earned backlash from T.I., Isaac Hayes III, and even Magic City. Moore went on to shut down this rumor, and now, is speaking on it further.
According to TMZ, Moore says that T.I. and Hayes III spread lies about her, regarding this rumor, and other policies she had proposed. Moore also believes that this situation is a case of her being a victim of a “made up smear.”
A clip was also included in the MTO article, about Moore speaking a few years ago, about special permits being required. This was mentioned for recording studios, and not strip clubs. In the end though, Atlanta believed that Andre Dickens was the much more qualified candidate, overall.
