Five years ago, Drake was cementing himself as the biggest artist of this decade. At the same time, three guys from Atlanta were looking to make it happen. These guys, Migos, had a viral track, “Versace,” that was blowing up, and Drake jumped on it.
“Versace” became the song to freestyle over and Migos were instantly famous. In 2014, Migos came back with “Fight Night,” making them household names. Avoiding the one hit wonder curse, they would drop an anthem a year, with “Bad and Boujee” establishing them.
In 2017, Drake took a hiatus, and Migos only further cemented their legacy, dropping “Motorsport” with Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. This was followed by “Stir Fry” and then “Walk It Talk It,” reuniting with Drake as equals. Now, Drake is going on tour with them, and Twitter is buzzing, but he keeps deleting the tweet.
