Two years ago, AZ announced he was back in the studio, putting together a new album. In recent years, many veteran emcees have returned to the spotlight, releasing sequels to their older albums. In 2009, the trend hit a new peak, with releases from Jay-Z and Raekwon, The Blueprint 3 and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Pt. II.
In 2010, AZ, a rapper who debuted during the mid-1990s, revealed his next album would be a sequel to his debut album, Doe or Die. With his Doe or Die 2 album in the works, AZ has continued to work. Throughout 2010 and 2011, AZ remained out of the spotlight.
Now, in 2012, AZ is preparing to release an album, which has been two years in the works. With the album in the works, AZ has been making his media rounds, discussing the new album. Recently, AZ sat down with “The Come Up Show” to speak on the album.
