Azealia Banks calls out Nicki Minaj for starting Latto beef
On Thursday night, Nicki Minaj got herself into another trending beef, with another female rapper. Nicki initially took to Instagram Live to went about how the Grammys submissions committee put her “Super Freaky Girl” single into pop categories, instead of rap. Soon, Nicki got on Twitter and said that this same thing needs to be applied to Latto’s “Big Energy” single.
This resulted in Nicki subliminally dissing Latto, which resulted in a response. Latto claims that she was being bullied by Nicki, and that she’s too old to be acting like this. That came as Nicki also exposed Instagram DMs of Latto harmlessly attempting to get a collaboration. Latto eventually clapped back and called Nicki a “super freaky grandma,” and is related to rapists.
However, are defending Latto online, as they believe that she doesn’t deserve this, especially from someone she looked up to and was a fan of. Therefore, Azealia Banks is one of these supporters, as she took to her Instagram stories to speak out.
As a result, Azealia says The Barbz need to get a petition to get Nicki some rehab and mental health services, through the Grammy’s Music Cares program. Azealia emphasized that this anger from Nicki isn’t normal, and that she isn’t getting enough attention to prevent this anger.
